This is a no crap honest review on a diet growing in popularity, The Eat Stop Eat Diet.
Brad Pilon has created the Eat Stop Eat diet and proclaims that he has found a strategy that simplifies dieting with no complicated rules and all but eliminates rebound weight gain.
I am a massive skeptic so I had to dig a little deeper to find out if this diet does actually work and what it has to offer. Below you will find both pros and cons to give you a better understanding of what this diet has to offer.

What is the Eat Stop Eat Diet
Eat Stop Eat is a weight loss eBook by Brad Pilon and is based on the benefits of fasting and using intermittent fasting for weight loss. The book is a little concise at 91 pages but contains a large amount of decent information and anyone from beginners to experienced fasting individuals will be able to understand and get to grips with this dieting strategy.

The book has more than 50 significant references from scientific studies to prove its theories and its potential to loose weight safely. Brad uses researched facts to compile a really good counter argument against the adverse comments regarding hunger, a slower metabolism and losing muscle, elements often associated with fasting.
The master plan of this diet is to create a calorie deficit by fasting once or twice a week, use more calories than you put in. This will in turn help you loose fat.
Brad claims his fasting strategy will also:
rejuvenate your cells from the inside out. So you enjoy a more youthful appearance and energy while you brush away aches, pains and health troubles you used to accept as “normal”…

This is a bold statement and difficult to measure in my opinion. Loosing weight and eating better quality food will make you feel better about yourself and upbeat so you will have a spring in your step.
Thoughts
In the last few years a lot of diet gurus have tried to argue that calories don’t count… And to be honest I understand why. It’s what we all want to hear!…
But to be blunt — It’s also the biggest lie in weight loss…

Most dieting experts agree with this statement or at least the message in the statement, calories do count. All of the best weight loss strategies that actually work aim to create a calorie deficit.
I like to think of our bodies as a full tank of fuel. As your current excess calorie eating self, you put 130 units of fuel in the tank when you only use 100. The excess fuel gets comfortable and nests in its environment if not used, we call this fat, so the leftover 30 units will turn to fat as they are not used. Unfortunately the meter starts at 0 every day, if you carry on taking in more units that you use they will become fat.

So taking Brad’s strategy into consideration, when you fast you put in 90 units of fuel when normally you use 100 units. Your body will still require the 10 units to make it up to the 100 you will use so will use part of those comfortable “stored” units (fat) helping you loose weight. I used the word “use” and not “need” as there is a difference.
Verdict
I rate this weight loss strategy highly as Brad bases his theory on real scientific facts and research. This strategy has real depth and there are tons of happy people that have and are still using the Eat Stop Eat Methodology. Scientific fact and research backs this strategy up and for good reason, it works.
There are some cons with it though. It does not give you meal recommendations for non-fasting days. This places pressure on your self-control, you have to decide what to eat which is an area where those that struggle with weight loss usually need some sort of guidance.
The sales page can seem a little pushy which is why dieting reviews like this one helps. To be frank all dieting plans purchased through sales pages seem pushy but read the information carefully and agree to what you are comfortable with and you will be fine.
If you are not sure ping me a message about a diet you have found and I will give you my honest opinion absolutely free.
Brad’s Eat Sleep Eat book is stacked with information but the real How-to can be summarised on two pages. The reason its not is simple. Fasting has been done for centuries but many are so stuck in the Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner routine that they are more skeptical of making changes in the way they eat and the hold onto the negative connotations associated with fasting never mind the real benefits. If you can make small changes to your routine and willing to try something with decent scientific backing this diet may just work for you too.
It may not suit everyone, but it truly does work.
